The Academy Performing Arts School
Turning the talent of today into the stars of tomorrow

“My daughter has been with the Academy for 6 years and absolutely loves it! She has grown in confidence and made friends for life. The teachers are lovely and really make sure that everyone is included and feel part of the Academy Family.  The annual show is always amazing and the children really do live their best lives on the stage! I cannot recommend the school highly enough! ."

Our Performing Arts Classes

Specialising in Musical Theatre, The Academy offers classes in Dance, Drama and Singing for students to devlop the core skills in this field. We also offer LAMDA tuition, Private Singing and Drama school Prep. Our classes are designed to provide practical learning in a fun and engaging way. We believe that everyone can benefit from performing arts training, regardless of their level of experience.

We also offer Summer Schools and Holiday Workshops throughout the year that are open to all. From themed classes for our younger students to  specific Musical themed classes, there is something for everyone. Our workshops are led by experienced professionals in the industry and are a great way to expand your skills and knowledge whilst having fun and making new friends.

Many of our students have had professional success in the industry and continue to flourish with the help of The Academy Agency. From guest appearances in many TV Series, regular roles in Eastenders to main parts on London's West End, if your child has the talent, we will help them achieve their dreams. Our older students have gone on to study at top Drama Schools with people currently attending The Brit School, Arts Educational and Tring.

The Claire Harvey Foundation

The Claire Harvey Foundation was created in July 2022 to raise money to help grant scholarships and assistance to talented and hardworking performers studying at The Academy, all in memory of our founder Claire. The Foundation runs in tandem with The Academy and is headed up by four trustees: Katie Harvey, Claire's sister, Megan Lawn and Natalie Cleverley who are Claires best friends and Jason Francis who was the original founder of the school with Claire in 2002. They oversee the distribution of all funds raised in Claires name, doing the one thing Claire felt passionate about – not letting financial restrictions prevent a child with real talent from flourishing.

If you are a parent who is struggling to meet your fees, or need help with uniform or dance wear, you can apply to the foundation in private where your request will be given due consideration. The more we raise the more people we can help.

The Claire Harvey Foundation is a not for profit company and with fundraising events throughout the year, all donations made in Claires memory are used to reward and nurture talent and make sure The Academy continues as her legacy.
